Terms of Use
1. Platform role
Mobile Mechanic AI is workflow software for automotive businesses. It does not perform vehicle repairs, inspect vehicles, supervise technicians, or replace professional judgment.
2. AI and diagnostic tools
AI outputs, diagnostic suggestions, checklists, labor estimates, repair explanations, maintenance suggestions, and other automated outputs are informational aids only. They may be incomplete or incorrect. The shop and technician remain solely responsible for diagnosis, testing, repair decisions, procedures, safety, labor times, parts selection, pricing, and final customer communications. Users must verify information using appropriate service information, tools, measurements, and professional judgment.
3. Tax and accounting planning
Revenue summaries, expense summaries, sales-tax estimates, quarterly tax estimates, suggested tax reserves, profitability figures, and other financial calculations are estimates for planning purposes only. Mobile Mechanic AI is not a CPA, tax preparer, attorney, bookkeeper, or financial adviser and does not provide tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice. Users are responsible for verifying all amounts, classifications, filing requirements, taxability rules, deductions, credits, deadlines, payments, returns, and records with authoritative sources and qualified professionals. Actual tax liability may differ materially from estimates.
4. Customer estimates and authorizations
Shops are responsible for the accuracy of estimates, pricing, parts, labor, warranties, disclosures, taxes, deposits, customer authorizations, and compliance with applicable repair-industry and consumer-protection laws. The platform records information supplied or approved by users but does not guarantee that an authorization, signature, estimate, invoice, or disclosure satisfies every jurisdiction's legal requirements.
5. Third-party services
Integrations and links involving Stripe, QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, Plaid, CARFAX, VIN/plate providers, maps, parts suppliers, SMS/email providers, AI providers, and other third parties are subject to those providers' availability, terms, accuracy, and policies. Mobile Mechanic AI does not control third-party systems and is not responsible for their outages, errors, pricing, data, or decisions.
6. Subscriptions and trials
Promotional trial terms, card-collection requirements, plan prices, renewal timing, cancellation rules, and any amount to be charged will be disclosed before a user authorizes a paid subscription. Where a payment method is collected before the end of a trial, the user will be told that no charge is due at collection and will be shown the future plan price and billing date before agreeing. Users are responsible for canceling before a disclosed renewal date if they do not want the paid subscription to begin.
7. Customer intake data and shop records
Customer intake submissions are received into the Mobile Mechanic AI workspace for the specific shop that issued the intake link and are intended to remain available only to authorized users of that shop, subject to the platform's access controls and security. Intake submissions are not a separate public mailbox, directory, or shared customer list. Shops are responsible for entering accurate information, obtaining any permissions required from customers, controlling staff access, and exporting or retaining records they are legally required to keep. Platform backups, sync, imports, exports, integrations, and automated processing are software functions and are not a substitute for the shop's own recordkeeping obligations.
8. No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties that results will be error-free, uninterrupted, complete, accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or suitable for any specific repair, business, accounting, tax, safety, or legal decision.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Mobile Mechanic AI and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits or revenue; lost data; vehicle damage; personal injury caused by a user's repair decisions; tax penalties; missed deadlines; customer disputes; third-party service failures; or business interruption arising from use of the platform. Any limitation applies only to the extent enforceable under applicable law and does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. User responsibility and indemnity
Users are responsible for their conduct, shop operations, employees, technicians, customers, repairs, estimates, invoices, taxes, regulatory compliance, and use of platform outputs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, a business user agrees to defend and indemnify Mobile Mechanic AI and its operators from third-party claims arising from that user's unlawful conduct, negligent repair work, misuse of the platform, inaccurate shop-provided information, or violation of another person's rights.
11. No guarantee of legal protection
These Terms allocate responsibilities and risks but cannot prevent a person from filing a claim or guarantee enforceability in every state or situation. Mandatory consumer rights and laws that cannot be waived remain in effect.
12. Changes
Material changes to these Terms may require renewed affirmative acceptance. The platform records the accepted version and acceptance timestamp.
